LeetCode | 35. Search Insert Position

Given a sorted array and a target value, return the index if the target is found. If not, return the index where it would be if it were inserted in order.

You may assume no duplicates in the array.

Here are few examples.
[1,3,5,6], 5 → 2
[1,3,5,6], 2 → 1
[1,3,5,6], 7 → 4
[1,3,5,6], 0 → 0


简单的二分查找,直接贴上代码:

int searchInsert(vector<int>& nums, int target)
{
int len = nums.size();
int left = 0, right = len-1;

if(nums[len-1] < target)    //插在末位
return len;
if(nums[0] > target)    //插在首位
return 0;

while(left <= right)
{
int mid = (left+right)/2;
if(nums[mid] == target)
return mid;
if(nums[mid] < target)
{
if(nums[mid+1] > target)
return mid+1;
else
{
left = mid+1;
}
}
else
right = mid-1;
}

return -1;
}
