A Discriminative Feature Learning Approach for Deep Face Recognition

本文针对人脸识别问题,针对 loss function提出了加入 center loss,使得学习到地 深度特征更加 discriminative 。
以前CNN网络主要使用 softmax loss,学习到的深度特征更侧重于 separable。但是对于人脸识别问题,由于测试样本很可能不包含在学习样本中,所有我们更加需要discriminative的特征。
3.1 softmax loss 函数定义如下
下图所示为 softmax loss 学习到的二维特征分布图
3.2 The center loss
直观定义如下:
上面定义的实现有些困难,做了些便于算法实现的修改,如下所示:
总体损失函数如下:
新的损失函数学习到的特征分布图
算法流程图如下所示:
