What is Sprite Viewer

Sprite Asset Viewer is a sprite manage tool in EasyMotion2D.

How to use

Select the menu item EasyMotion2D > Sprite Asset Viewer > Open Window to open the Sprite Asset Viewer.



Click “New Sprite Asset” button in Sprite Asset Viewer to create a New SpriteAsset.



What is sprite asset

Sprite Asset is a asset file it include sprite groups and sprites.



A Sprite Asset file in Project Window will display as a window in Sprite Asset Viewer.



You can click the “X” button in right-top of a asset file window to remove it from project, or remove it from Project Windows directly.

After you remove A asset file, all groups and sprites in this file will be remove, if anywhere has reference these, it will be lost.

Drag textures from Project Window and drop to a window in Sprite Asset Viewer, you can create sprites to this Sprite Asset file.

If a asset file not have any group, then will automatically create a sprite group, and insert sprites to this group.

What is sprite group

Sprite group use to group sprites in Sprite Asset file. It's not use in runtime, just use to group sprite for user.

Sprite group will display as a sub window in Sprite Asset file window.

You can click sprite group window's title name to rename the sprite group.

You can click the “X” button in right-top of a group window to remove it from asset file.

After you remove A group, all sprites in this group will be remove, if anywhere has reference these, it will be lost.

What is sprite

Sprite is the renderering primitive of EasyMotion2D. One Sprite have 4 vectiecs 2 triangles.

You can drag sprite from one group and drop to other group easily in Sprite Asset Viewer.

You can click textfield under a sprite to rename the sprite.

You can use left-click to select sprite in Sprite Asset Viewer. Hold a Ctrl(Windows)/Command(Mac) can be multi-select. When you select sprites, assets in project window will selected.



After you selected sprites, you can use right-click(Windows/Mac)/ctrl+left-click(Mac) to popup sprite command menu.

Transparent means sprites packed to atlas.



Red means sprites not in PowOf2 textures, in this case, sprite will can not renderering pixel perfect.



Blue means sprite in PowOf2 textures but not pack to atlas.
