centos 分辨率设置

最近又实验安装了centos 5.8，装完后启动，界面太差了，看着费劲。
百度一查，原来是分辨率的问题。下面是分辨率设置方法。

“系统－>管理->显示“（英文版本的是system->adminstaration->display)，打开后，hardware的monitor type 选择你的显示器对应类型，我的是LCD 1440x900。

video card 显卡驱动，默认的都是用的linux通用的显卡驱动vesa，我看了一下列举的驱动，刚好有我的显卡驱动（英伟达的）nv，选择它。

按照上面设置好了之后，画面清晰很多了，但明显分辨率不是1440x900的，字体很大一个，界面看起来还是不很满意。还要修改一下显示分辨率。在setting里面

设置了，重新登录后依然还是上次的分辨率，直接修改配置文件/etc/X11/xorg.conf可以解决这个问题。我的配置如下：

之前显示的都是1024x768的分辨率，如上在前面添加1440x900，保存，logout后在登，分辨率就正常了。
