Use Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2010 to customize the list view 3---Parameter and Filter

This article describes how to customize list view by Parameter and Filter using Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2010.

Scenario 3:  Filter the list by specified column

1. Create a list for testing(with two columns: Name, Year. Year will used for filter) and input some test data:



   2. Start  Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2010 and Open the site where the list you need to customize

   3. Click "List and Libraries"

   4. Click the list you want to customize

   5.  Click the View which you want to customize

   6. Add a dropdown list into the list view design UI:



 

7. Create a parameter to consume the dropdown list:



 

8. Create a filter to consume the paremeter

 


 

 9. Open the list to check the result:
