[论文笔记] The Impact of Service Pricing Models on Service Selection (ICIW, 2009)

ICIW, 印象中这是个unranked的会议, 只比近年来国内泛滥的EI水会议要好一些. 今年这个会是在意大利威尼斯开的, 接收率为33%(果然也很水), 接收的论文一共约为100篇, 多数论文是6页. 明年这个会是在西班牙的巴塞罗那(还是个旅游的好地方).
Julian Eckert的单位是德国达姆施塔特工业大学(德国大学总分名次大概10名开外), 他的publications多是关于resource planning for workflow, 以及SOA与金融结合. 目前没有很牛的论文.

以下是论文笔记:

1. 这篇论文从"resource planning"的角度来讨论当下web service的计价模型以及对服务选择的影响. 翻了一下reference, 没几篇熟悉的, 很多都是business方面的论文. 这篇论文也不是技术性的, 没有数学模型, 没有实验或系统, 都是些泛泛的语言描述, 看了以后印象不是很深.

2. (S4) 对Web Service的计价模型(Pricing Model)进行了归纳
(1) fixed fee
收取固定费用, 换取一定次数的访问, 或者换取一段时间内的无限访问.
(2) variable fee (pay-per-use)
又可以分为两类
(a) variable fee with static scheme
fee per request is known in advance
(b) variable fee with dynamic scheme
fee induced by quantity can vary over time, subject to variables such as technical conditions of the service provider's resources(resource-oriented), the user's willingness to pay(user-oriented), any market condition(market-oriented)
(3) hybrid fee
"combines a fixed fee with a variable fee"
当前Web Service计价方法最常见的是fixed fee model, 还有部分是static pay-per-use models, 这些计价方法通常会结合"quantity- and/or priority-based price discrimination"一起使用.
