My Debian installation from hard disk

It's my first time to play with debian, not knowing much but I managed to install from hard disk :)
Tips: just read the documentation in www.debian.org, it's enough.
Debian always has at least three releases in active maintenance: “stable”, “testing” and “unstable”:
The current “stable” distribution of Debian GNU/Linux is version 3.0r3, codenamed woody. It was released on October 26th, 2004
The current “testing” distribution is sarge.
The “unstable” distribution is called sid.
I choosed sarge, as it supports my sata harddisk and can install from iso image directly, don't have to mount iso image during install procedure or to extract everything from iso image to a directory :) .
I prefer to install with grub 'case it's a wonderful bootloader.
Now , the following assumes that pc has been booted and grub is running now ( I have install FC3 before so grub is already in my hard disk's MBR, if u just have a windows operating system , I suggest u download grub4dos)
Download sarge-i386-1.iso,initrd.gz,vmlinuz , that's enough, if only I have a broad band I would choose a net installation as well .Press “c“ when grub screen emerges
>kernel (hd0,8)/debian/vmlinuz root=/dev/ram0 devfs=mount,dall ramdisk_size=17000
>initrd initrd (hd0,8)/debian/initrd.gz
>boot
Now,the installation procedure starts :), type “linux26” after “boot:” to install a 2.6 kernel, or just press enter with a default 2.4 kernel.
